Have you ever come through a dark place and out onto the other side, to where you have clarity and a plan - only to discover you didn't travel that path alone? Others have gone through that journey with you. Maybe they are friends or family, those who care about your welfare.
You may have enlisted these fellow travelers yourself by sharing your difficulties and asking for advice, guidance, prayer, a listening ear. They have cheered you on along the way and now they rejoice with you when you finally emerge into the light and find what you have been seeking.
But did you ever know about others further behind the scenes, unseen "angels" who followed your journey as well? Your fellow travelers may have enlisted their help or they may have just happened to hear of your plight. They remained far behind the scenes, praying, checking in for any news, any breakthroughs, any progress. And when they heard the news of your success, they also rejoiced and danced!
I was reminded of these unseen supporters recently when I shared a success with a friend who had been encouraging me by listening, being a sounding board. After shedding tears of joy for me, she excitedly shared my news with two others who had, unknown to me, been praying as well. Their excitement at hearing the news was too much to keep to herself so she told me how thrilled they were when she told them. Wow, I didn't realize they were there, in the background, concerned, praying for someone they only heard about through my friend. I was truly surprised.
Have you been in that unseen crowd? You may hear of a tragedy, a hardship, a need - so you uplift someone in prayer. You may even add them to a "list" so you will remember them. Sometimes you wonder if those that you "carry" have improved or found their way. I often never really know. Oh, but when you DO hear their news and you realize you were a part of their journey, it means so much!
When I heard of my unseen angels who were there behind the scenes remembering me and my situation, it made my success that much sweeter. So thank you to all who support others from the shadows. Whether known or unknown, you are amazing! Know that you matter even when others don’t know how much you care. Travel on, pray on, dear Angel!
