How Colors Interact

Your Secondary Color

Have you taken the color quiz yet? Wait, have you read my previous two blog posts about color personalities (the post you are reading is 3 of 3)?  If not, stop right here and take the quiz and check out the two previous blog posts now!

The color that came in first in your quiz is your primary color, the one you typically exhibit on a daily basis.

But which color came in second? This one is significant as well. When facing stress or when emotions are high, this is the color that may come to the forefront. It is how we respond when we are stretched or facing the unknown. Take a quick look back at the description of your secondary color.

I’m a Green/Yellow. I find that I’m most interested in details and researching. But I also care about how those details can help others. I can see how my Yellow kicks in when I’m stressed, but on normal days, I’m clearly a Green. It makes so much sense to me!

I now feel what I have to offer the world is truly significant and I don’t have to be like others. Just being myself is enough!

How does your secondary color kick in when you are stressed?

Color Personalities of Those Closest to You

I bet you’ve been thinking about your spouse, child or best friend. Can you guess their color personality? (Ask them to take the quiz as well. That’s the best way to know.) They say that opposites attract and you may find that your family dynamic bears this out.

How two people (colors) interact is so interesting. There are certainly challenges, but knowing your tendencies and those of the other person can go a long way to working together effectively.
Let’s highlight each other’s unique strengths. We need each other!

What have you learned about someone close to you and how you interact with each other? What can you do differently to improve the relationship?

I'd love to hear how learning about your colors helps you better understand yourself and others.
